Snacks get a bad reputation; but seriously, not all snacks are bad.  Healthy snacks can help curtail those annoying cravings you get throughout the day and help you consume less calories at meals.

The types of snacks can you eat can make or break your weight loss goals. Don’t  just eat anything, you want to eat real foods that are filling, protein-dense and high in nutrients.

Here are a list of our favorite snack ideas for you to try anytime or any place!

  • A handful of nuts (almonds, cashews and/or walnuts are great)
  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • Edamame
  • Apple with almond butter
  • Veggies with hummus
  • Air popped popcorn
  • Roasted chickpeas
  • Greek yogurt with berries
  • String cheese
  • Broccoli with guacamole
  • Roasted pumpkin seeds
  • Hummus spread on cucumber slices
  • Chickpeas mixed with avocado squares and feta cheese
  • Cottage cheese mixed with berries
  • Sliced bell pepper slices rolled in deli turkey slices

Preparation is  key.  This means that you need to carry snacks without you so you aren’t tempted to indulge in fast food.
